Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut portraying Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, which makes her the second youngest winner in Oscar history. Anna Paquin's full title is Anna Helene Paquin. Born July 24th 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was the first Canadian native New Zealand actress. As a child, Paquin won an Academy Award for best support actress. Her role as the empathetic and curious young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) was the reason she won the prize. After she responded to an open audition call to play the character, she got it in the role of Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who moves into New Zealand in mid-19th-century to be married. The actress was just nine, and she had no prior experience in acting. Following her move in the United States, she became an adolescent. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. In addition, she played a leading role in Fly Away Home, a film from the same year. Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 feature film Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). She also was the character of the teenage groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
